IVR is a Telephone technology that allows computer to detect voice and telephone keypad keystrokes on every active telephone connection. IVR system can respond to any telephone keypad keystrokes dynamically by running a sound that has been recorded previously, to direct the caller. IVR systems can function to control a variety of requirements and generally is to control the caller in large numbers. When the caller is connected with a number of Customer Service, IVR System will play a sound “Greeting” followed by the voice menu option that contains the service or product you’d like offered by the company on each caller. IVR systems are usually used in a Call Center or telephony-based system or better known as Computer Telephony Integration (CTI). |
